Universal looks to expand.

With over a half century of designing and manufacturing more than 500 styles of residential and commercial builder trade lighting fixtures, Universal Fixture Mfg. Co. of Braintree, Mass. has established a niche for itself among builders, owners and managers with a broad range of commercial applications for their products; all of which are USA-made and UL-approved.

Universal has recently expanded their lines with a wider variety of energy and cost-saving PL lighting fixtures. These decorative flush-mount and tri-pole fixtures are available in new finishes, including polished chrome (jargon) chrome - (From automotive slang via wargaming) Showy features added to attract users but contributing little or nothing to the power of a system.

 and brushed nickel.

"Our customers want to take advantage of the efficiency of fluorescent PL, but also have to meet certain illumination and/or design requirements," says Allen Bodenheim, Universal's Vice President of Sales. "In particular, we have been strong in our ability to adapt PL to applications where the customer had previously been confined con·fine

Universal will be introducing their newest PL lighting styles at Booth 816 at the Buildings NY Trade Show on June 20 & 21.

Their current catalog presents an impressive line of art deco art deco (ärt dĕkō`; är dākō`, ärt) or art moderne (är môdĕrn`, ärt) , classic and traditional designs. A recently introduced web site (www.Universal Fixture.com) offers a convenient way to browse the collection.
