BB: USXP) today announced the signing of a letter of intent to purchase a profitable direct marketing company for predominantly cash.

Target Market Corporation is a direct marketing company that specializes in mail processing and list brokerage. "With profitable offices in the Midwest and Pacific Northwest, Target Market has been in business since 1990 and has completed hundreds of direct mail campaigns for customers throughout the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. ," said Mary Benson, President of Target Market.

"The acquisition of Target Market, which is the only nationwide mail processing facility that guarantees three-day turnaround on all projects, enhances Universal Express' position as a leading provider of value-added services to its Private Postal Network," said Lisa Olson Lisa Olson (born circa 1964) is an American sportswriter for the New York Daily News. In 1990, while working at the Boston Herald, she was sexually harassed by New England Patriots football players in the team's locker room. , Target Market's Production Manager.

"Because Target Market is skilled in rapid turnaround and creative implementation of all aspects of standard rate direct mail, members of the Private Postal Network will now be able to integrate Target Market as a resource to their own customer base, which is traditionally comprised of small business customers," said Mark Falk of the Postal Network Business Center.

"This fit is particularly appropriate in light of the recently announced increases in First Class postage. The largest cost component for most direct mail campaigns is postage. Through the usage of Target Market to process direct mail at standard postal rates, members of the Private Postal Network and others will be able to greatly assist their small business customer base with lowering their direct mail costs," continued Mark Falk.

"Now that our corporate infrastructure has been formed and our foundation appears to be handling the growth of that infrastructure, Target Market will be able to integrate direct mail services along with our other value added Value Added

When we saw the hundreds of contented retailers presently working with Target Market, we knew that USXP's sales implementation would be far better off with an experienced in-house marketing and retail organization that generates over $200,000 a year in profits and can offer exposure for those programs while Target Market continues growing their own profitability with other retail customers," said Richard A.
