UTR University Technical Representative ), a manufacturer of analog/linear and mixed-signal integrated circuits, modules, and nonvolatile products, today announces the UCC An abbreviation for the Uniform Commercial Code. 39421/2 family of multimode high-frequency PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) A modulation technique that generates variable-width pulses to represent the amplitude of an analog input signal. Like its fixed-width pulse density modulation (PDM) cousin, the output switching transistor is on more of the time for a controllers, optimized for low-power, portable applications.
Ideal for applications such as cell phones, pagers, PDAs, and other handheld devices, the UCC39421/2 provides greater than 95% efficiency in various topologies. Of particular importance to designers is the state-of-the-art capability for configuration at fixed frequencies as high as 2MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc. . The circuit is ideally suited for multi-chemistry battery applications, whether using alkaline, NiMH rechargeable, or lithium-ion rechargeable cells.
