Unitrends expands line of data protection units, with terabyte capacity.

Unitrends Corporation recently announced the introduction of four new models of its Data Protection Unit (DPU), with the largest of the new DPUs enabling companies to cost-effectively secure more than a terabyte of information, with rapid restore through its disk-to-disk (D2D) formatting.

The new DPUs are all rackmounted models, designed to help network administrators achieve maximum protection while taking up minimum space. Unitrends' line of DPUs help companies protect their corporate-critical information across computer networks. Every DPU comes bundled with Unitrends' Data Protection Software (DPS) suite, including "bare-metal," which lets administrators restore a crashed operating system on the network in a matter of minutes, instead of the hours or days it can take with a traditional "clean" install methods. Unitrends' DPUs save companies time and money, providing a significant return on investment (ROI) the first time a bare-metal restore is needed.
