Uniter, not a divider.

Reporter Scan Kennedy in his otherwise very good interview with The Advocate's 2003 Person of the Year, Bishop Gene Robinson The Right Reverend Vicki Gene Robinson (born (May 29 1947 (1947--) (age 60)) is the ninth bishop of the Diocese of New Hampshire in the Episcopal Church in the United States of America . , mentions that "some people have already left the church over this issue [his consecration as bishop]" [Q&A, December 20]. While it is true that some have left because of Bishop Robinson Bishop Robinson may refer to:
  • Bishop Gene Robinson, a bishop of the Episcopal Church in the United States of America
  • Bishop L. Robinson (police commissioner), a former police commissioner of Baltimore, Maryland
, it is equally true that many have come to our church directly because of him. The Episcopal Church has witnessed through Robinson that ours is a church open to all. Unfortunately, it is those opposed to this inclusivity who make the most noise. For the rest of us (abuse) for The Rest Of Us - (From the Macintosh slogan "The computer for the rest of us") 1. Used to describe a spiffy product whose affordability shames other comparable products, or (more often) used sarcastically to describe spiffy but very overpriced products.

2.
, we will continue to welcome everyone who comes to the Episcopal Church.
