United kingdom : Cordic taxis despatched on time with new BT System.

BT Business today announced it has teamed up with Cordic Ltd, the leading provider of software and system solutions for the taxi, private hire and courier industries, to deliver a reliable and feature rich booking and despatch system for taxi firms, cPAQ.

Cordic s GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) The first high-speed digital data service provided by cellular carriers that used the GSM technology. GPRS added a packet-switched channel to GSM, which uses dedicated, circuit-switched channels for voice conversations.  based cPAQ taxi despatch system allows Cordic customers to automatically allocate jobs out to the nearest available drivers, improving efficiency, reducing unnecessary mileage MILEAGE. A compensation allowed by law to officers, for their trouble and expenses in travelling on public business.

BT Business is providing Cordic with broadband, phone lines, mobile connections and IT services to power their cPAQ taxi despatch system. Running over a public GPRS network, the service automatically allocates a job from the central office, sends an SMS (1) (Storage Management System) Software used to routinely back up and archive files. Now, if the GPRS network goes down, Cordic customers do not need to worry about any downtime in service.
