At the time, he told the Business Times he was deeply engaged in discussions with unnamed VCs. Earlier efforts in 2007 and early 2008 to attract VC funding didn t prove fruitful, but the Salesforce deal apparently hit the spot. Practice Fusion is now backed by the enterprise cloud computing leader, Howard said in the statement, adding that Salesforce s technology, capital and leadership will help Practice Fusion grow and outpace competitors that he says are stuck with old-fashioned -- and expensive -- legacy client/server software technology.
