County Manager Dennis Stark, on Monday, said he expected negotiations to be complete by Thursday so the board could approve either by formal action or consensus approval of a contract for services with CRA. The agenda for the item called for "discussion and possible action on jail project update and tasks completed to date, including a detailed and comprehensive financial update, and approval to enter into a contract (pending successful negotiations) with the firm of Clemons-Rutherforld & Associates" as the project architect. The interviews of five architectural firms, trimmed to that number by a paper screening, were conducteded by a committee on Aug. 17, with thatgroup deeming CRA as most qualified and "best suits the needs of the project and Lyon County," said the agenda summary.
