United States: Verizon Wireless merges with Alltel this weekend.

Changes are on the way for many Central Nebraska Nebraska (nəbrăs`kə), Great Plains state of the central United States. It is bordered by Iowa and Missouri, across the Missouri R. (E), Kansas (S), Colorado (SW), Wyoming (NW), and South Dakota (N).  cell phone customers. Two of the nation's largest providers are merging. It is a move that takes effect this weekend.

Verizon Wireless Cellco Partnership, doing business as Verizon Wireless, owns and operates the second largest wireless telecommunications network in the United States, based on total wireless customers.  bought Alltel back in January. This Sunday Sunday: see Sabbath; week.  Verizon takes over and Alltel customers will become customers of Verizon.

It means your next bill will be from Verizon.

The change is expected to be smooth. Your phone will work exactly the same. If you are an Alltell customer you can remain on the same price plan with out making any changes what so ever.

"Products and services and Alltel customers their bills will just say Verizon Wireless.
