United States: Evergrande To Launch IPO Mon;Seeks $700M-$1B -Sources.

Evergrande Real Estate Group aims to raise US$700 million to US$1 billion from a Hong Kong Hong Kong (hŏng kŏng), Mandarin Xianggang, special administrative region of China, formerly a British crown colony (2005 est. pop. 6,899,000), land area 422 sq mi (1,092 sq km), adjacent to Guangdong prov.  initial public offering, and will start the roadshow Monday, people familiar with the situation said Tuesday.

The company has scaled back the size of the IPO (Initial Public Offering) The first time a company offers shares of stock to the public. While not a computer term per se, many founders, employees and insiders of computer companies have found this acronym more exciting than any tech term they ever heard.  from the up to US$1.5 billion it originally planned to raise because of market conditions, two of the people said.

They said Credit Suisse Group (CS) has rejoined the syndicate of bookrunners for the IPO after it was earlier dropped from its underwriting role. The other bookrunners are Bank of America
