The respective sale and purchase agreements were signed on August 2006. The combined purchase prices total $43.5 million (EUR) including inventories. The purchase includes the systemic carbamate carbamate /car·ba·mate/ (kahr´bah-mat) any ester of carbamic acid. car·ba·mate (kär b -m herbicidal active ingredient Asulam (brand names Asulox and Asilan) and two insecticidal products. Bayer CropScience has retained certain rights related to nonagricultural uses in strategic markets. Headquartered in India, UPL is that country's largest Indian agrochemical company and among the top five generic players globally in this industry. |
