In the calendar year 2004, ABI generated revenues of 5.5 million pounds and EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) A metric used to show a company's profitability, but not its cash flow. EBITDA became popular in the 1980s to show the potential profitability of leveraged buyouts, but has become of 1.1 million pounds. ABI is a provider of construction sales and marketing information services serving the U.K. construction sector with sales leads, contact data, CRM software and marketing intelligence targeted to construction contractors and material suppliers. Founded in the 1930's, ABI Building Data gathers, processes and delivers information on forthcoming construction projects. Products include custom reports through DataBuild, detailed project information specific to civil developments through SiteDataCivils, tools for companies that subcontract through SupplierDirect, marketing and business relocation services, and lead management software and services. UBM said the acquired property will complement existing construction and property businesses within CMP International (CMPi; London) and will become a part of CMPi's Built Environment division. CMPi CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.
