Unisys Federal Systems Division Awarded National Institutes of Health CIO-SP Contract.MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 3, 1996--Unisys Corp. Tuesday announced that its Federal Systems Division has been awarded the National Institutes of Health (NIH "Not invented here." See digispeak. NIH - The United States National Institutes of Health. ), Chief Information Officer Solutions and Partners (CIO-SP CIO-SP Chief Information Officer - Solutions and Partners ) contract. The five-year, multiple award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ IDIQ Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (contracting/procurement) ) contract has a potential value to Unisys of $100 million. The total value of CIO-SP is open-ended and it is expected to be as widely used as the Defense Information Systems Agency, DEIS II program and the Department of Transportation, Information Technology Omnibus Procurement. Under NIH CIO-SP all federal government departments and agencies will be able to purchase life cycle information technology services including the outsourcing of data centers, telecommuting, Year 2000 solutions, telecommunications engineering and installation, and information technology security.
