Unisys Awards AT&T $85 Million Contract.


-Information services leader to reduce

telecommunications costs by up to $30 million

BASKING RIDGE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 17, 1999--AT&T announced today that it has been awarded a three-year, $85-million contract by Unisys Corporation (company) Unisys Corporation - The company formed in 1984-5 when Burroughs Corporation merged with Sperry Corporation. AT&T will provide services to Unisys through AT&T OneNet(R) Service, an integrated offer portfolio that simplifies managing complex telecommunications services. Network services provided under the agreement include international voice and data services via AT&T Concert Virtual Network Service and Concert Frame Relay A high-speed packet switching protocol used in wide area networks (WANs). The contract is one of the first negotiated by AT&T under AT&T OneNet(R) Service, a flexible "master agreement" format recently introduced to provide large corporate customers a single instrument that affords them the option of adding services without renegotiating general terms and conditions. The master agreement contract structure gives customers the ability to bundle a variety of AT&T services into a single, unified document with specific terms in the service attachments.
