Unisys Announces Two Solutions for Commercial Industries.

Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced two solutions, developed with the Unisys Business Blueprinting initiative, for commercial companies: Safe Commerce and Integrated Trade Promotion Planning and Replenishment (ITPR).

The Safe Commerce solution, now in development, will provide secure in-bound supply chain operations to protect imports from acts of terrorism and contamination. Currently, 16 million containers arrive in U.S. seaports each year, but only 2 percent are inspected, leaving companies with supply chains that are vulnerable to operational, customer and financial risks. The ITPR solution integrates consumer product companies' CRM and supply chain systems, helping them meet the age-old challenge of getting the right products to the right stores at the right time.

A comprehensive consulting, development and delivery strategy, Unisys Business Blueprinting builds models that link business processes to the software and systems that support them. Unisys Business Blueprinting allows clients to visualize how changes would affect not only the IT infrastructure but also the business itself.
