Unisys Adds RSA Security Technology to Single Point Security Software Family of Products.


BLUE BELL, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 10, 1998--Unisys Corp. Tuesday announced that it has licensed the BSAFE Crypto-C encryption engine from RSA (1) (Rural Service Area) See MSA.

(2) (Rivest-Shamir-Adleman) A highly secure cryptography method by RSA Security, Inc., Bedford, MA (www.rsa.com), a division of EMC Corporation since 2006. It uses a two-part key.
 Data Security, Inc. for use in its Single Point Security family of enterprise security solutions.

Unisys Single Point Security will use RSA's industry-leading security component technology to encrypt passwords, user profiles , files and email.

The Single Point Security suite manages user access to information systems across the extended enterprise and includes a set of products with a common administration for single sign on, consolidated user management, and internet/extranet access. The product suite supports a variety of authentication tokens including biometric-based devices.

RSA's BSAFE Crypto-C software is the world's best-selling cryptography engine. BSAFE Crypto-C includes modules for multiple popular encryption techniques, such as RSA, DES, RC2, RC4, RC5, and Elliptic Curve Cryptography See ECC.  (ECC (1) (Error-Correcting Code) A type of memory that corrects errors on the fly.
