Unique Star Wars Items Available as Part of eBay's ``Auction for America''; Lucasfilm Ltd. and eBay Join Forces to Raise Funds for Victims of September 11 Attacks.

Star Wars props from the Lucasfilm Ltd. Archives, specially created Star Wars models from Industrial Light & Magic, and a limited

edition Darth Vader helmet signed by George Lucas

Lucasfilm Ltd. is bringing the force of Star Wars to eBay's "Auction for America," the online initiative designed to raise funds for the victims, families and communities affected by the terrorist attacks of September 11. Lucasfilm will offer rare Star Wars props from the Lucasfilm Ltd. Archives and models specially created by Industrial Light & Magic, the award-winning special effects company. The 10-day event will begin tomorrow, December 5, 2001; Lucasfilm Ltd. will donate every dollar collected from the sale of the items to the September 11th Children's Fund.

The following items will be available:

-- Authentic Stormtrooper helmet that was used in the filming of both Star
Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the
Jedi. This item comes with a letter of authenticity signed by George Lucas.

-- Authentic Darth Maul stunt lightsaber that was used by Ray Park in his role
as Darth Maul during the filming of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace.
During the filming of some of the fight sequences, Ray used the lightsaber with
the attached brightly colored rods. The rods were later replaced for the film
with a lightsaber glow effect by the digital artists at Industrial Light &
Magic. This item comes with a letter of authenticity signed by George Lucas.

-- 11 Star Wars models built by model makers from the Industrial Light & Magic
model shop for the event. The models are built from licensed model kits and
have been assembled, customized, and detailed by the model makers. They will
come with a special Plexiglas display case and a certificate of authenticity.
The list of models is as follows: Luke Skywalker's X-wing starfighter, Boba
Fett, Millennium Falcon, STAP with battle droid, Anakin's Podracer, Trade
Federation tank, Slave I, Snowspeeder, R2-D2 & C-3P0, Princess Leia, and an
Imperial Walker.

-- A replica of a Jedi lightsaber built for the event by the ILM model shop,
also in a Plexiglas display case with a certificate of authenticity.

-- A limited edition Darth Vader helmet cast by Don Post Studios from an
original mask used in the filming of The Empire Strikes Back and signed by
George Lucas.

"We hope that by offering these one-of-a-kind Star Wars items for bidding on eBay, we can provide some assistance and comfort to the families who suffered such terrible losses in the September 11 attacks," said Howard Roffman, Lucasfilm's VP of Licensing.

"Auction for America" enables eBay users to buy and sell goods or donate cash via the Internet site specifically to help the victims, their families and communities of the terrorist attacks. One hundred percent of all proceeds will benefit one of six charitable organizations selected by the seller, including the September 11th Children's Fund, the Robin Hood Relief Fund, September 11th Fund, the New York State World Trade Center Relief Fund, the Twin Towers Fund and the American Red Cross.
