BEDFORD, Mass. -- The Melting Pot of Burlington/Bedford is currently under construction and scheduled to open during the first quarter of 2007. Located at 213 Burlington Road, The Melting Pot is a dinner-only fondue restaurant that is locally-owned and operated by the Skedd family.

"We're adding an out-of-the-ordinary dining experience to the vibrant and growing Burlington/Bedford restaurant community," said Brian Skedd, General Manager and co-owner of this Melting Pot location. "This atmosphere is perfect for fondue, and we're excited to deliver a new style of warm, fun and interactive dining to our Bedford and Burlington neighbors and dining enthusiasts all over the metro-Boston area."

This Melting Pot location will encompass more than 5,500 square feet with seating for more than 175 guests. In addition to its upscale-casual dining environment, the restaurant will also feature a secluded se·clud·ed

The Burlington/Bedford location will be the second to open in Massachusetts. The existing Framingham location has already received rave reviews. In a November 12, 2006 episode of The Phantom Gourmet The Phantom Gourmet is a food-related television program with a major focus on reviews of New England area restaurants from a critic with the same name (see below for more). , a well-recognized Boston-based restaurant review show, contributing host Michael Andelman stated, "I cannot recommend The Melting Pot any higher.
