Union politicizing PTCL workers for its benefits.ISLAMABAD, August 31, 2009 (Balochistan Times): Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL PTCL Pakistan Telecommunication Company LimitedPTCL Peripheral T Cell Lymphoma PTCL Physical and Theoretical Chemistry Laboratory PTCL Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited ), while putting the facts straight about the unions protest staged here at PTCL head quarters in Islamabad, has issued the statement. As per details, PTCL management termed this protest a clear violation of the code of conduct issued by National Industrial Relations Commission Industrial Relations Commissions are government courts or tribunal set up by a state or country to regulate and adjudicate on employment and industrial issues between employees and employers. Contrary to the instructions issued by the court, one of the small union group started demonstrating in front of PTCL head office illegally, to get the undue advantage for the referendum over other unions. The group has created hindrances in the smooth operation of the company and tried to lock PTCL offices. Two days back they even forcefully entered in PTCL headquarter head·quar·ter v. head·quar·tered, head·quar·ter·ing, head·quar·ters Usage Problem v.tr. To provide with headquarters: besides being warned by law Enforcement staff, they insisted to remain inside and caused inconvenience for other workers. On the basis of these illegal activities FIRs were registered against the agitators. PTCL management and civil administration has tried its best to resolve the problem peacefully, while on the other hand the agenda of the said union was only to get political mileage for the upcoming referendum. PTCL management considers its employees, the most valuable asset and is working on different proposal for the welfare and betterment bet·ter·ment n. 1. An improvement over what has been the case: financial betterment. 2. Law An improvement beyond normal upkeep and repair that adds to the value of real property. of its valued employees. All these proposals are duly evaluated, examined and will be implemented very soon accordingly.
