Union Carbide has granted Dow Chemical an exclusive worldwide license to sell divinylbenzene (DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting) An international digital television (DTV) standard that is the European and Far Eastern counterpart of the North American ATSC standard. ) for use in Union Carbide's patented process for production of fiber-reinforced, molded compounds. Union Carbide's process is used in producing reinforced molded unsaturated unsaturated /un·sat·u·rat·ed/ (un-sach´ur-at?ed)

. Under terms of the agreement, Dow Chemical has the right to grant licenses in connection with the DVB monomer. The agreement also gives Union Carbide the right to grant licenses in connection with its sale of additive mixtures containing DVB.
