Unimpressed.

The quotes from Mark Leno in support of Nancy Pelosi in Emily Hefts article ["Pelosi and the Gays," December 19] prove how absent The Advocate's credibility is. I have lived in San Francisco for over 20 years and have heard both Pelosi and Leno staunchly defend Bill Clinton, John Kerry, and Gray Davis and other political Democrats when the public platform of these elected officials was to marginalize mar·gin·al·ize

for you: Pelosi's and Leno's top priorities are their own self-importance, their paychecks, and the perpetuation of their dogmatic party. Sexual-minority American citizens' equality and rights are not on the radar. Young Americans are also dying because they have been manipulated into defending Pelosi-Leno cowardice. Republicans, can you hear that?
