Unicoi Systems Strengthens Security Suite with Embedded IKEv2 Release.


ATLANTA -- Unicoi Systems, a leading provider of real-time multimedia software and reference designs to embedded device developers and OEMs worldwide, today announced the availability of its Fusion(R) Internet Key Exchange Internet key exchange (IKE) is the protocol used to set up a security association (SA) in the IPsec protocol suite. IKE is defined in RFC 2407, RFC 2408 and RFC 2409. IKEv2 is defined in RFC 4306.

Key features of Fusion IKEv2 include:

--Support for Extensible Authentication Protocol Extensible Authentication Protocol, or EAP, is a universal authentication framework frequently used in wireless networks and Point-to-Point connections. It is defined by RFC 3748.  (EAP)

--Legacy IKEv1 support, including support for ISAKMP (Internet Security Association and Key Management Protocol) A framework for establishing trusted interactions among entities using TCP/IP. See IKE.

 (RFC 2408), IKE (RFC 2409), the Internet DOI (RFC 2407), NAT traversal, legacy authentication, and remote address acquisition.

Fusion IKEv2 is part of the Fusion Security Product Suite that was designed specifically for embedded systems. This extremely small footprint suite of software includes a fully integrated array of security components, including IPsec, VPN, IKEv1/v2, SSL/TLS SSL/TLS Secure Socket Layer/Transport Security (IETF) , secure SOAP and secure WebPilot, Unicoi's secure embedded web browser.
