AURORA, Ohio, June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Unicent Technologies announced today that it has merged with PC Importers, Inc. The announcement comes on the heels of Unicent's introduction of its Extreme class of personal computers based solely on AMD processor technology. While Unicent and PC Importers have co-existed under the same ownership, operations, marketing and management have been separate. Now, with the incorporation of PC Importers into Unicent, Unicent hopes to be able to more fully concentrate its R&D, production and marketing efforts. The merger paves the way for Unicent to market its Extreme class of personal computers. Unicent Extreme systems feature AMD processors, including the new AMD K6-2 with 3Dnow! technology starting at just $899. Prior to the consolidation, AMD based systems were only available through PC Importers.
