UniComp Allows Leading AS/400 Software to Compete On Unix.

MARIETTA, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 18, 1999--UNICOMP, INC. (NASDAQ: UCMP) today announced that its subsidiary, Unibol, and Global Automotive Ltd. has used UNIBOL400 to install its MOTIS package, originally developed for the AS/400, on Hewlett Packard's HP 9000 at Renault Trucks (RVI). MOTIS on Unix has been installed in all of the 15 Renault Truck dealerships throughout the UK and has provided Renault with the ideal solution to ensure excellent data exchange between its headquarters in Dunstable and its dealers.

One of IBM's largest Business Partners, and part of the DCS Group, UK based Global Automotive Ltd is a market leader in the world-wide automotive distribution sector. Its importer solutions are used by over 30% of franchises in the UK and they have more than 5,000 Dealer Management System installations across Europe.

Global is converting many of its MOTIS customers to the Unix version of MOTIS, to provide them with a richer product in terms of functionality.
