Unfriendly Skies Unfriendly Skies is the ninth episode of the American crime drama which is set in Las Vegas, Nevada. It originally aired as Episode 9 of on December 8, 2000. Plot : The brewing rivalry between Boeing Co. and a Northrop Grumman Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) is an aerospace and defense conglomerate that is the result of the 1994 purchase of Grumman by Northrop. The company is the third largest defense contractor for the U.S.  Corp.-led team over a $40-billion contract to supply tankers to the U.S. Air Force intensified in·ten·si·fy

Boeing, the heavy favorite to win the competition, attacked the capabilities of Northrop's Airbus A330 saying the jet is too big, uses too much fuel and isn't designed to be used at some smaller airfields where the U.S. military may need to use it. The Northrop/Airbus team countered saying the larger and newer Airbus platform was ready to go now and the older Boeing's 767-based tanker had experienced long development delays. The contract will be awarded in October.
