Today, songwriter-producer Linda Perry is one of the most sought-after collaborators in pop music, having scored huge hits with Pink and Christina Aguilera. But back in 1996 the lesbian alt-rocker was the bride, not a bridesmaid; after her chart-topping band, 4 Non Blondes ("What's Up?"), split up, her solo debut, In Flight, was issued by a major label--and vanished like Amelia Earhart.
