Underage drinking causing mental problems.


According to a British report, under-age binge binge (binj)
1. a period of uncontrolled or excessive self-indulgent activity, particularly of eating or drinking.
2. to indulge in such activity.
-drinking is leading a generation of teenagers to have mental health problems See medical conditions..The regular consumption of alcohol is linked to thousands of cases of psychiatric disorders that range from depression to violent tendencies. A report by the Department of Health found that teenagers with serious behavioural problems are twice as likely to drink regularly. And one-third of 14- to 16-year-olds with disorders admitted to drinking once a week or more. The report also showed that 11- to 13-year-olds who displayed aggressive behaviour were more likely to have had exposure to alcohol than those who weren't violent. And that teenagers with emotional problems were 1.5 times as likely as non-sufferers to consume alcohol at least once a week (Daily Telegraph, 02/09/05, p.29).
