The migration to the UltraDNS Managed DNS Service(TM) for high performance DNS resolution allows the world's third largest TLD to expand its network and increase the international reach of the .uk TLD.

Nominet selected UltraDNS to significantly improve infrastructure scalability and reliability, while gaining an additional layer of DNS security. UltraDNS provides a non-BIND managed DNS solution that gives the .uk registry the software code diversity it requires. This infrastructure allows Nominet to enhance its network resiliency and to expand its geographic presence without exposure to inherent flaws common in legacy DNS software.
