Bikers Dream Inc. (Nasdaq:BIKR), which does business under the trade name Ultra Motorcycle Co. ("UMC"), Tuesday reported the company would begin shipments of its new model, the UMC "Titanium Series I."

The "Titanium Series I" features a rubber-mounted drive train, a 113-inch S&S Cycle engine, five-speed transmission, and an inverted front-end. The "Titanium Series I" is manufactured on a unique standard-length chassis and swing arm configuration, rather than a stretch-frame that UMC traditionally uses in its other models.

The "Titanium Series I" also has a lower seat height than the "Avenger," UMC's other "rubber-mount" model. Because of the "Titanium Series I" length and seat height, UMC anticipates this nimble new model will appeal to a much wider market, including female riders.

UMC has garnered a reputation for high-powered, short-distance, exotic heavyweight cruisers and choppers. The UMC "Titanium Series I" retains the great look Ultra Motorcycles are known for, yet will be "convertible" for touring. Consumers will soon be able to purchase an accessory package from their UMC dealer to transform the look of this motorcycle.

In minutes, custom-made, quick-release saddlebags, a windscreen, rear pegs, and a two-passenger touring saddle are attached to complete the touring package.

UMC's "Sledgehammer" model received accolades in the January 2001 edition of Easyriders magazine, after several weeks of road-testing. The company's "Groundpounder ST" model was featured in Friction Zone's December 2000 performance reviews, and in the February 2001 edition of Iron Works magazine.

Dain Gingerelli, of Iron Works magazine stated, "The Groundpounder ST is a tasteful blend of custom parts and workmanship."
