Ulema back govt decision to flush out militants.
RAWALPINDI, May 08, 2009 (Balochistan Times) -- Religious scholars at a seminar here on Friday extended their full support to the governments decision to flush out elements involved in defaming Islam by carrying out subversive activities in different parts of the country. Such elements are black spot on peaceful religion of Islam. We will make all-out efforts to spoil their nefarious designs and ensure integrity and sovereignty of the country, they said addressing the seminar titled Tahafuz-e-Pakistan Conference. The conference organized by administration of Eidgah Sharif on the occasion of monthly programme Barhveen Sharif was co-chaired by Custodian of Eidgah Shrine Pir Muhammad Naqeeb-ur-Rehman and Sahibzada Muhammad Hassan Haseeb-ur-Rehman. The Mehfil of Barhveen Sharif is held on every 12th of Islamic month in line with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him), the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). A number of ulema and scholars including Allama Hafiz Bashir Ahmed Sialvi, Allama Fasih Mehmood, Allama Qari Niaz Ali Niazi, Pir Abdullah Shah Hussain, Allama Professor Dr. G A Haq, Allama Muhammad Farooq Usmani, Mufti Salman Rizvi, Allama Zafar Muhammad Farashvi from Britain, Syed Arif Shah Gilani and Saleem Habibi spoke on the occasion and highlighted teachings of Islam. Terming the incidents of violence and torture as conspiracy against Islam and Pakistan they urged the Ulema, religious scholars and Khateebs from all schools of thought to come out and play their role in creating awareness among masses on the issue. By the grace of Allah Almighty we will foil the conspiracy of destabilizing Pakistan. We are ready to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our army, they said. They observed that conspiracies are being hatched against Islam and asked the people to help efforts in projecting the true image of Islam. The speakers underlined the need to follow the teachings of mystics and said that Muslim saints always adopted the way of love and peace for spreading Islam in different parts of the world during their preaching. Pir Naqeeb-ur-Rehman said there is a solution of each and every problem in following the footsteps of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). He highlighted the teachings and various aspects of the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). On the occasion, special prayers were also offered for the progress, prosperity and solidarity of the country.
