Ulema back govt decision to flush out militants.

RAWALPINDI, May 08, 2009 (Balochistan Times) -- Religious scholars at a seminar here on Friday extended their full support to the governments decision to flush out elements involved in defaming Islam by carrying out subversive activities Noun 1. subversive activity - the act of subverting; as overthrowing or destroying a legally constituted government

overthrow - the termination of a ruler or institution (especially by force)

 in different parts of the country. Such elements are black spot on peaceful religion of Islam. We will make all-out efforts to spoil their nefarious designs and ensure integrity and sovereignty of the country, they said addressing the seminar titled Tahafuz-e-Pakistan Conference. By the grace of Allah Almighty we will foil the conspiracy of destabilizing Pakistan. We are ready to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our army, they said. They observed that conspiracies are being hatched against Islam and asked the people to help efforts in projecting the true image of Islam. The speakers underlined the need to follow the teachings of mystics and said that Muslim saints always adopted the way of love and peace for spreading Islam in different parts of the world during their preaching. Pir Naqeeb-ur-Rehman said there is a solution of each and every problem in following the footsteps of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). He highlighted the teachings and various aspects of the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH PBUH Peace Be Upon Him

). On the occasion, special prayers were also offered for the progress, prosperity and solidarity of the country.
