Ubisoft and Best Buy Announce Online Video Game Tournament; Gamers to Compete in Xbox 360(TM) Tournament Featuring Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter(TM).

Today Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers and Best Buy, North America's leading specialty retailer of consumer electronics, announced an online video game tournament for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (also known as Ghost Recon 3 or G.R.A.W.) is the third installment in the popular Ghost Recon tactical shooter video game series, published by Ubisoft. (TM) on the Xbox 360(TM) video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. The tournament will be facilitated by the Global Gaming League and kicks off on the Xbox Live See Xbox. (R) online game service April 1 and continues through May 1. Entrants must have Xbox Live Gold to participate. For the first three weeks of the competition, teams of two will compete against thousands of other teams as they eliminate each other for the top spot to compete in the deathmatch final. The two finalist teams will then travel to E3 and compete for the grand prize of an all-new 2007 Dodge Caliber, a sporty five-door compact car with a powerful stance that provides the functional flexibility of an SUV. The first-place winner will also receive $5,000 and the second-place winners will each receive cash prizes of $1,000.

"There is no doubt that Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter is the killer game for Xbox 360 and the online tournament is a great way to experience the game with thousands of other players in a heated competition," said Tony Key, vice president of marketing at Ubisoft. "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter is going to blow up on Xbox Live."
