, announced today that an exclusive license has been granted to Energy Management Technologies, Inc. ("EMTI EMTI Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate

") in the State of California for use of the Facility Energy Decision System software program ("FEDS"), which was developed at the Department of Energy's Pacific Northwest National Laboratory The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is one of nine United States Department of Energy (DOE) multiprogram national laboratories. The laboratory
PNNL is located in Richland, Washington, and operates a marine research facility in Sequim, Washington.
 ("PNNL PNNL Pacific Northwest National Laboratory "). Battelle, which operates PNNL for the Department of Energy ("DOE"), holds the rights to FEDS and granted the license to EMTI.

EMTI is a 51% owned UTEK subsidiary. In addition, UTEK and VWLC announced that all of the issued and outstanding shares of common stock of EMTI have been acquired by VWLC in a stock-for-stock transaction.
