USDA's MyPyramid gains activity partner.


In order to encourage overall health, the MyActivity Pyramid pyramid, structure

The university developed the MyActivity Pyramid for six- to 11-year-olds with the hopes that it would encourage these kids to become interested in physical activity. Researchers who developed the program recognize that obesity obesity, condition resulting from excessive storage of fat in the body. Obesity has been defined as a weight more than 20% above what is considered normal according to standard age, height, and weight tables, or by a complex formula known as the body mass index.  has become a growing concern with school children.
