USC (10-13, 5-9) update: This is the first of four games the Trojans must win just to be eligible for National Invitation Tournament consideration. USC should have guard Roy Smiley available, although he remains less than 100 percent with a strained knee. Senior point guard Robert Hutchinson did not make the trip as he continues to focus on his future after graduating. USC coach Henry Bibby took walk-ons Peter McCaslin and Michael Mehanna on the trip to bolster the Trojans' depth. Center Kostas Charissis practiced with the first unit all week and could get his third consecutive start tonight.

Oregon (18-7, 8-6) update: The Ducks were humiliated at the Sports Arena on Feb. 2, 91-76, but are 28-2 at McArthur Court the past two years. James Davis will start at guard ahead of Andre Joseph, who was suspended after refusing to enter a game last weekend. Joseph had 18 points against USC in the first meeting.

UCLA vs. OREGON STATE

UCLA (6-17, 3-11) update: UCLA has won three in a row in Corvallis, Ore., and has not been swept by the Beavers since 1988. The Bruins will have to do a much better job of shutting down forwards Philip Ricci and Brian Jackson, who combined for 44 points and 23 rebounds in an 83-79 Beavers victory at Pauley Pavilion. Newly rediscovered point guard Ray Young is coming off back-to-back 18- and 22-point games last weekend.

Oregon State (12-11, 5-9) update: The Beavers can clinch a berth in the Pacific-10 Conference tournament with a victory and also take a big step toward landing an NIT berth - their first since 1989. Ricci is averaging 17.2 points and a Pac-10-best 8.7 rebounds. The Beavers are the conference's worst 3-point-shooting team at 28.3 percent.

CSUN vs. UC RIVERSIDE

CSUN (11-13, 5-9) update: Cal State Northridge needs to win two of its final four games to clinch a spot in the Big West Conference tournament. Or, if Long Beach State loses one of its final three games and CSUN loses one, CSUN is in and Long Beach is out. The Matadors snapped a losing streak at three games with a victory at Long Beach on Saturday. Sophomore Ian Boylan has scored in double figures the past 13 games and is fourth in the conference in scoring with 15.8 points per game.

UC Riverside (6-14, 5-9) update: Riverside beat the conference's then-No. 1 Utah State 72-65 on Saturday. Senior Mark Miller needs five points for 1,000 in his career. Freshman Nate Carter is second in the Big West in scoring with 17.1 points per game. The Highlanders are tied for eighth in conference but aren't eligible for the Big West tournament because they moved from Division II to Division I. Riverside beat CSUN 74-71 on Feb. 1.
