USC (16-10, 7-8) update: Coming off a disappointing loss toOregon, USC coach Tim Floyd wasn't overly optimistic about facing Oregon State. ``We're not a dominant team,'' Floyd said. ``If we're able to get it, it'll be by one-or-two points.'' USC guard Gabe Pruitt (fractured knee) will be examined by doctors today and hopes to be cleared so that he can play in next week's game in the Bay Area.

Oregon State (11-16, 4-12) update: The Beavers are anotherstruggling team fully capable of giving the Trojans problems. Oregon State barely lost to the Trojans 72-70 last month in Corvallis and the Beavers outrebounded USC 42-31. That loss started a six-game losing streak for the Beavers, who have one victory since Jan. 21. Guard Sasa Cuic leads the team in scoring (13.2 points per game).

CSUN vs. PACIFIC

Pacific (19-7, 9-2) update: The Tigers routed Northridge 79-51 on Wednesday in Stockton, handing the Matadors their worst Big West Conference loss. Mike Webb (Lancaster High) had a career-high 24 points in Wednesday's victory.

Northridge (10-14, 3-8) update: Junior Mike Efevberha has led the team in scoring each of the past three games and looks like he's breaking out of his shooting slump. Efevberha's recent surge has him back among the top scorers in the conference. Efevberha is currently third in the conference at 17.0 points per game behind Fullerton's Bobby Brown (17.9) and Pacific's Christian Maraker (17.5).
