USC UPDATE : FOX TOPS IN SCRIMMAGE.

Sophomore quarterback John Fox threw three touchdown passes and Delon Washington ran for two scores in USC's final preseason scrimmage Friday night at the Coliseum.

Fox completed 11 of 15 passes for 132 yards with no interceptions. Backup Quincy Woods was 4 for 7 for 59 yards. Freshman Mike Van Raaphorst was 3 for 5 for two yards and an interception.

Fox threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Billy Miller; a 40-yard touchdown pass to fullback Rodney Sermons and a 15-yard scoring pass to wide receiver Mike Bastianelli. Woods threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to tight end Pat Swanson.

The game was sloppy, just like last week's scrimmage at the Coliseum. Ten penalties were called, including a clipping penalty on a 100-yard kickoff return by R. Jay Soward.
