USC An abbreviation for U.S. Code.  receiver Whitney Lewis Whitney Lewis (born August 13, 1985, in Corpus Christi, Texas and raised in Oxnard, California) is an American football wide receiver. He is entering his senior season at the University of Northern Iowa.  denied Tuesday night that he might transfer after the season, possibly to Montana State.

Lewis, a sophomore from St. Bonaventure High in Ventura, said that any speculation he would transfer was ``rumors as always.''

``That's just random stuff, I'm a Trojan for life,'' Lewis said.

However, other USC sources said Lewis might transfer because he is frustrated with his lack of playing time.

``I think he's thinking about his options,'' a source said.

Montana State is a logical destination because Lewis would not need to sit a season to transfer to the Division I-AA school and he already burned a redshirt year because he was ineligible last season. Lewis played in just nine games this season with no receptions. A highly touted high school player, his college career has been a disappointment, with only three career receptions in two seasons.

That situation might not improve next season, because the Trojans are expected to return their top three receivers (Dwayne Jarrett Dwayne Jarrett (born September 11, 1986 in New Brunswick, New Jersey) is an American football wide receiver in the NFL for the Carolina Panthers. Early years

Steinberg represents Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger while Segal represents Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick and France represents Miami Dolphins tailback Ronnie Brown.

Sources close to Bush said he won't make any decisions until after the Rose Bowl.

--Recruiting update: Vidal Hazelton, a receiver from Chatham (Va.) Hargrave Military, will announce his college choice Friday. Hazelton is considering USC, Miami and Penn State.

He is listed as the 17th-best player in the nation, according to Rivals.com. USC lost out on the nation's top receiver last week when Percy Harvin of Virginia Beach, Va., committed to Florida.

. The adjusted score for the 2004-2005 school year is 927, up from the original score of 916.

That score places USC above the cutoff of 925. Schools falling under that score are subject to NCAA penalties. Scores were revised because of adjustments made by the NCAA regarding the original data submitted by schools.
