Johnson, a 5-foot-10 player who hails from Minnesota, averaged 13.6 points and 4.0assists as a junior in his first season with Stoneridge Prep. He was teammates with Mamadou Diarra, a center who earlier this week signed a letter of intent to attend USC for next season. Johnson is ranked as the No.79 overall prospect and 12th-best point guard in the class of 2008 by rivals.com. Also committing to the Trojans was forward Demar DeRozan of Compton High, a 6-foot-5 small forward who tops Johnson as the No. 55 prospect in the rivals ratings.
