Stoneridge Prep of Simi Valley Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  point guard Angelo Johnson was one of two top basketball recruits to give USC An abbreviation for U.S. Code.  oral commitments Friday for the class of 2008.

Johnson, a 5-foot-10 player who hails from Minnesota, averaged 13.6 points and 4.0assists as a junior in his first season with Stoneridge Prep. He was teammates with Mamadou Diarra, a center who earlier this week signed a letter of intent to attend USC for next season.

Johnson is ranked as the No.79 overall prospect and 12th-best point guard in the class of 2008 by rivals.com.

Also committing to the Trojans was forward Demar DeRozan of Compton High, a 6-foot-5 small forward who tops Johnson as the No. 55 prospect in the rivals ratings.

There are reports that DeRozan will bring along friend and travel ball teammate Romeo Miller of Beverly Hills Beverly Hills, city (1990 pop. 31,971), Los Angeles co., S Calif., completely surrounded by the city of Los Angeles; inc. 1914. The largely residential city is home to many motion-picture and television personalities.  High. Miller is also known as rapper Romeo or Lil' Romeo, and is the son of rapper and entrepreneur entrepreneur (än'trəprənûr`) [Fr.,=one who undertakes], person who assumes the organization, management, and risks of a business enterprise.  Master P.

He likely wouldn't take up a scholarship.
