USAIR TO OFFER FARES AS LOW AS $24.50 BETWEEN CLEVELAND AND BALTIMORE; FREQUENT TRAVELER PROMOTION OFFERS FREE FLORIDA, EUROPEAN TRIPS

 CLEVELAND, Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- USAir will offer fares as low $24.50 on its expanded schedule of flights between Cleveland and Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI), beginning Sept. 7, along with a Frequent Traveler (FT) program promotion that will enable members to easily earn a free companion ticket to Florida or Europe.
 Beginning Sept. 7, USAir's new fares between Cleveland and BWI will be:
 -- $49: Unrestricted one-way fare.
 -- $49: Non-refundable round-trip fare. Ticket must be purchased within 24 hours of making reservation. Travelers must stay over the first Saturday if trip begins between Sunday and Friday, and over the first Sunday is travel begins on Saturday. Maximum stay is 30 days. Service charge of $35 will apply for any changes once ticketed. Seats are limited.
 -- $24.50: One-way fare between Cleveland and BWI. Will apply for travel only on Saturday or Sunday. Seats are limited. No other restrictions apply.
 Members of USAir's FT program who fly two round trips using unrestricted fares between Cleveland and BWI from Sept. 7 to Nov. 30 will receive one free companion ticket for a USAir flight to any point in Florida or to either Paris or Frankfurt, Germany.
 On Sept. 7, USAir will increase its daily frequency between Cleveland and Baltimore from three to five round-trip flights. Schedules are:

 1:45 p.m. 2:57 p.m. 4:05 p.m. 5:18 p.m.
 6 p.m. 7:08 p.m. 7:45 p.m. 8:55 p.m.
 Along with the low fares and FT program, USAir will continue to offer the full range of ground and in-flight service amenities. These include advance seat assignments, reservations through all major airline reservations systems, interline baggage service (automatic transferal of baggage to other carriers on connecting flights), in-flight beverage and meal service and an FT program that offers the fastest free tickets to the most destinations.
 These new fares are in addition to USAir's existing low "Short Hop" fares in certain CLE markets which were introduced earlier this year. Short Hop fares, which are restricted, range from $49 to $99 round-trip.
 USAir employs 400 people at Cleveland and has a positive annual economic impact on the city of $196 million.
