USAIR SHUTTLE TO OFFER MORE LEGROOM

USAIR SHUTTLE TO OFFER MORE LEGROOM
NEW YORK, June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- By July 1, the USAir Shuttle

will have reconfigured the seats on its fleet of Boeing 727-200 aircraft used in the shuttle operation to increase the amount of legroom. Six aircraft have been converted to date and are currently flying in the USAir Shuttle markets.
"This change provides every USAir Shuttle customer on the B727-200 with the same amount of legroom offered by airlines in first class," said Gordon Linkon, USAir Shuttle president and CEO. "Depending on the prior configuration of the airplane, as many as 14 seats are being removed to allow for additional legroom."
"The change was prompted by passenger input that they would like more space between each row of seats," he said.
"With the reduced number of seats being offered on our regular hourly flights, we are increasing the number of back-up flights being operated at peak times," Linkon added. "This means we will be offering more seats in the shuttle markets: LaGuardia-Washington and LaGuardia-Boston. Our passengers are responding favorably to the additional legroom and the improved service on the USAir Shuttle."
