USAIR REPORTS SEPTEMBER TRAFFIC

 ARLINGTON, Va., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- USAir today reported that September passenger boardings and revenue passenger miles flown were down from September 1992, a month in which traffic was inflated by an industry-wide discount fare program for the first 15 days.
 September 1993 revenue passenger miles flown were down 2.6 percent from the same month of 1992, while available seat miles flown decreased 1.1 percent. September passenger load factor was 57.3 percent, which compares with 58.2 percent in September of last year.
 During the first nine months of 1993 USAir posted decreases of 3.0 percent in revenue passenger miles flown and 1.7 percent in available seat miles vs. the same period of 1992. Load factor for the first nine months of 1993 was 58.9 percent, which compares with 59.7 percent for the same period of 1992.
