USAA Speeds Bank Deposits with The UPS Store(R); Free Next-Business-Day Deposits Now Available for USAA Bank Customers.

SAN ANTONIO -- USAA Federal Savings Bank today introduced a new, free service to its members that eliminates the waiting period typically associated with mail-in deposits. With QuickPost(SM), members can drop off deposits to their bank accounts for free next-business-day delivery from any domestic location of The UPS Store(R). With The UPS Store offering more than 4,100 locations nationwide, the new service brings the benefits of branch banking to USAA's online bank customers from anywhere in the United States.

To make a next-business-day deposit, members follow these simple steps:

1. Seal the check and deposit slip in a QuickPost envelope (supplied
   free from USAA or available at The UPS Store).

2. Deliver the envelope to the store associate at any domestic
   location of The UPS Store before the last pick-up time for
   next-business-day delivery at that store.

3. Check the account balance for available funds on the next business
   day.

When deposits are collected from The UPS Store, they are shipped via UPS Next Day Air(R) at no cost to USAA members. Members receive a unique UPS tracking code to monitor the delivery of their deposit. The deposits are shipped and processed overnight, and posted to the member's checking or savings account the next business day(1).

USAA members can visit www.usaa.com to find a nearby location of The UPS Store and order QuickPost envelopes. Nearly three-fourths of the U.S. population lives within five miles of a The UPS Store location.

Key findings from a 2005 survey by the Pew Internet and American Life

    --  More than 50 million U.S. adults now bank online.

    --  As of November 2004, 49 percent of American men had tried
        online banking, compared with 39 percent of women.
