USA TODAY SKY RADIO TO BROADCAST CLINTON ADDRESS

WASHINGTON, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- For the first time, the State of the Union Address will be heard live by commercial airline passengers. The president's speech to the joint session of Congress will be transmitted live, in its entirety, to air travelers aboard USA Today Sky Radio-equipped aircraft. The broadcast will begin Feb. 17 at 9 p.m. (Eastern Time).
"Since Sky Radio's first live broadcast in September, we have broken the airline entertainment mold with a series of firsts. Sky Radio has broadcast live the Major League Baseball playoffs and World Series, the presidential debates, the NFL playoffs, Super Bowl and Pro Bowl, the presidential inauguration and now the State of the Union address, for the first time in aviation history," said William O. Hider, USA Today Sky Radio president.
Sky Radio is available on a majority of United 757 and select 737 flights, as well as select Delta Air Lines 757 flights. USA Today Sky Radio is the first live, satellite-delivered, in-flight, audio information service, featuring around-the-clock news, money, sports and weather reports.
Washington Journalism Review called Sky Radio "the most intriguing radio innovation in years."
