USA TODAY'S INTERNATIONAL EDITION ANNOUNCES TWO EXECUTIVE PROMOTIONS
 WASHINGTON, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Two executive promotions at USA TODAY's International Edition were announced today by David Mazzarella, president/USA TODAY International.
 Thomas R. Bates, director/advertising and marketing, becomes vice president/advertising and marketing.
 Barbara L. Krasne, director/finance operations, becomes vice president/finance operations.
 "Tom and Barbara have proven themselves to be effective members of the International team," Mazzarella said. "We look forward to having them play a bigger role in the management of USA TODAY International."
 Bates joined USA TODAY International in 1985 as a management assistant and later became manager/special projects and director/marketing before being named to his present position last year.
 Krasne joined the company in January 1987 as financial manager and was named to her present position in 1988.
 USA TODAY's International Edition, which is headquartered in New York, distributes in more than 90 countries from satellite print sites in Switzerland and Hong Kong. It has offices in London, Zurich, Hong Kong, Singapore, Washington and Los Angeles.
