US embassy in Islamabad temporarily suspends consular services.

Islamabad, Oct 27(ANI): The US embassy in Islamabad has issued a 'Warden Notice', announcing that it was suspending routine consular services consular service, organized body of public officers maintained by a government in the important ports and trade centers of foreign countries to protect the persons and interests of its nationals and to aid them in every possible way.  from Monday due to unspecified security reasons.

"This Warden WARDEN. A guardian; a keeper. This is the name given to various officers: as, the warden of the prison; the wardens of the port of Philadelphia; church wardens.  Notice is to notify American citizens that routine consular services will be temporarily suspended from Monday," The Daily News quoted the notice, as saying.

The embassy has however clarified that the suspension was temporary, and normal service would resume on Friday. It would continue to provide emergency services emergency services Emergency care '…services …necessary to prevent death or serious impairment of health and, because of the danger to life or health, require the use of the most accessible hospital available and equipped to furnish those services'  to Americans in need of such assistance.

Meanwhile, all immigrant and non-immigrant visa interviews would be rescheduled and passport applications would only be available from November 2.

The notice has also advised US citizens in Pakistan to take precautionary pre·cau·tion·ar·y   also pre·cau·tion·al
