) to support the National Exercise Program (NEP NEP: see New Economic Policy. ). The NEP will be the DHS's primary vehicle to train its leaders and staff, and collaborate with its interagency partners in training and exercising their leaders and staff for their assigned homeland security missions. The IQC will be used to obtain contractor support for planning and conducting training and workshops, policy development, program evaluation, information technology support, and exercises for senior officials, national special security events, terrorist incidents and national disasters.

Under the terms of the contract, the AMTI team can compete for, or be assigned, task orders to provide a broad range of training and exercises to help federal, state and local jurisdictions prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from terrorist and natural hazard incidents. The five-year contract has a maximum value of $350 million to all six teams.
