: URS) today announced that the Company's EG&G Division has been awarded a re-compete contract with the U.S. Navy to provide management, engineering and technical support services support services Psychology Non-health care-related ancillary services–eg, transportation, financial aid, support groups, homemaker services, respite services, and other services  to the Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) Program Office of the Naval Sea Systems Command The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is the largest of the U.S. Navy's five "systems commands," or materiel organizations. NAVSEA consists of four shipyards, eight "warfare centers" (two undersea and six surface), four major shipbuilding locations and the NAVSEA headquarters,  in Arlington, Virginia. The Company held the previous contract from July 2001 through February 2006. RAM is an international program jointly managed by the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area.  and Germany for development, delivery, maintenance and upgrade of a Ship Self-Defense Weapon System. The RAM Program Office provides management, financial and technical oversight for the development, production and in-service support of the RAM MK-31 Guided Missile Weapons System for both the United States and German Navies.

Under the terms of the contract, URS will provide acquisition program management, system engineering, financial management, and integrated logistics support A composite of all the support considerations necessary to assure the effective and economical support of a system for its life cycle. It is an integral part of all other aspects of system acquisition and operation. Also called ILS.  services for the development, production and fielding of the RAM system. The contract includes a one-year base period and three one-year option periods. The maximum value of the contract to URS is $11.6 million if all option periods are exercised.
