UPDATE ON SOLID WASTE SHIPMENT

 UPDATE ON SOLID WASTE SHIPMENT
Here is an update as of 5 p.m. CDT on the status of baled,

nonhazardous municipal solid waste being unloaded near Sauget, Ill.
Approximately 49 boxcars have been unloaded and the cargo has been transferred to licensed Illinois landfills for disposal. Approximately 41 boxcars remain to be unloaded.
The shipment originally was delayed by a national rail strike and a local contract dispute. Unusually rainy weather conditions in the Midwest have further delayed landfill operations.
As a result, TENNSV Inc., today asked the Circuit Court in St. Clair County, Ill., for an extension of its order that the cargo be removed by July 22. TENNSV is seeking an extension of the deadline until July 31, so that the cargo can be disposed of in full compliance with state and local landfill regulations.
The shipment is being transferred in accordance with appropriate federal, state and local regulations and in accordance with the terms of various permits.
