UPDATE ON ROCKBURST AT MACASSA MINE

 TORONTO, Nov. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Lac Minerals Ltd. rescue efforts are continuing on a 24-hour basis at the Macassa Mine to locate the two missing workers.
 The workers became missing on the 6600 Level at the mine as a result of a rockburst which occurred at approximately 8:20 a.m. Friday morning. A second rockburst of similar magnitude occurred 7 seconds later on the 6400 Level of the mine.
 Rescue teams have reached the work area where the workers were last known to be, and have started removal of broken material from the stope. Due to the size of the stope, rescue teams are comprised of six to eight men. Access to the rescue area has been completed to both the East and West ends.
 Further updates will follow as additional information becomes known.
