UP IN SMOKE THREE TRAILERS DESTROYED IN LANCASTER FIRE.

LANCASTER - Three house trailers on a desert property north of Fox Field burned Friday morning in a fire that sent up a plume of black smoke visible for miles.

The fire apparently started from a homemade home·made

 barbecue or stove - made from vehicle wheels welded together with a smokestack - situated near one of the trailers, Los Angeles County Fire Department Not to be confused with Los Angeles Fire Department.

The occupant was not inside any of the trailers when the fire broke out and was not injured in·jure

All three trailers were destroyed. Firefighters estimated monetary damage at about $15,000.
